For years, I, Rohit, dreamed of opening a restaurant that wasn’t just about food, but about creating an experience—a place where people could gather, connect, and savor the kind of meals that stay with you long after the last bite. Italian cuisine, with its deep roots in family, tradition, and authenticity, was the perfect choice.

To bring this vision to life, I partnered with a chef, Richard Toth “Rick” whose culinary passion was sparked in the kitchen of one extraordinary woman: Nonna Lena.

Nonna Lena was more than a cook—she was the heart and soul of her family, known for recipes crafted with love and precision. Her grandson, now the head chef, grew up learning her secrets: how to roll pasta by hand, coax deep flavors from the simplest ingredients, and, most importantly, how to turn a meal into a memory. Naming the restaurant after her is a tribute to the legacy she built, and a promise to bring her spirit of warmth and hospitality to every guest who walks through the door.

At Nonna Lena, tradition meets modern creativity. The menu highlights her influence, featuring timeless dishes. But alongside these classics, the chef and I have introduced fresh takes on Italian cuisine, such as burrata with truffle honey, pistachio pesto risotto, or a deconstructed tiramisu that celebrates Italy’s most beloved dessert in a whole new way.

I envisioned Nonna Lena as more than a restaurant—it’s a gathering place, inspired by the sense of togetherness that Italian cooking embodies. From the rustic decor to the carefully selected wine list and locally sourced ingredients, every detail is designed to make guests feel at home.
